Sanjeev Bhaskar and Nicola Walker star in this crime drama following cold cases that are reopened when new evidence emerges. It returned for a second series this year, and showed itself to be more than just a standard police procedural.

Unforgotten series two followed four people (Sara, Colin, Marion and Tessa) who’d been sexually abused as children, with Nicola Walker and Sanjeev Bhaskhar’s Cassie and Sonnyattempting to link them to a series of deaths they believe were actually murders. In the series finale, Mark Bonnar’s Colin delivered a brutally powerful monologue about the realities of sexual abuse. “You might put me in prison but let me tell you this,” he says, “you can’t judge me unless you’ve had it done to you.”

 

I Talk Telly

Unforgotten, one of the standout dramas of 2017 is returning for a third series with Nicola Walker and Sanjeev Bhaskar both returning to the roles of DCI Cassie Stuart and DI Sunil ‘Sunny’ Khan.

Once again they will delver delve into an intricate historical investigation, revealing a fresh web of long-buried secrets.
